No preservatives are added to the frozen fruit: it is frozen in its raw state. It can be used to replace fresh fruit, thus offering practically, consistency, all year round availability and cost control.
Uses: Frozen fruit is a better option than fresh fruit in many instances:
- In jam and chutneys
- In tart and clafouties
- In smoothies
- To embellish ice cream
Storage: at -18°C for 30 months. The fruits are often used direct from frozen. For optimal defrosting, leave for 12 hours in the refrigerator. Do not refreeze once defrosted.
