A simple but very good appetizer. The taste of the smoked salmon adds consistency to this sandwich. The ingredients around it give it more flavor and the toast is really delicious.

Ingredients

4 oz smoked salmon
6 slices bread
1 cup goat cheese
2 teaspoons horseradish more to taste
2 tablespoons chopped chives
¼ cup plain yogurt
lemon zest
capers
fresh tarragon
poppy seeds optional

Directions

Toast bread slices to desired doneness.
Meanwhile, combine goat cheese, horseradish, chives, and yogurt.
Divide goat cheese spread on toasts. Top with smoked salmon.
Garnish with lemon zest, capers, tarragon, and poppy seeds.
