Baked Goat Cheese with Tomato Sauce
This baked goat cheese dip features a simple, marinara-like tomato sauce with goat cheese on top. Fresh basil and crusty whole grain bread take it to the next level. This recipe is easy to make and definitely a crowd pleaser. If you don’t have a chance to make this appetizer today, it also makes a lovely light dinner for two. We recommend serving it with red wine and marinated olives.

8 ounces goat cheese
1 clove garlic
1/2 cups of Tomato Basil Sauce
2 Tablespoons olive oil
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Combine tomato sauce and garlic in a baking dish and top with goat cheese.
Bake, uncovered, until the sauce begins to bubble at edges and the cheese is hot, about 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, slice baguette on a bias and place on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse salt.
During the last 10 minutes of baking time, add bread to oven and toast until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
Garnish cheese with basil and cherry tomatoes, if desired. Serve warm.
